The aerospace division was created in 2019, with the goal of offering antenna solution development and engineering and consultancy services. EOSOL aerospace, develops antenna solutions for critical sector such as: - Space: Deployable antennas. Earth observation radiometer mmWave and radar instruments. Antennas for space exploration missions including antennas for lunar comms. - Ground: Antenna terminals for SATCOM, arrays and reflector antennas. - Science and radioatronomy: MHz to THz antenna solution for high performance scientific instruments and radiotelescopes. Additionally, we offer communication solutions such as data link solution and consultancy and engineering services to the industry. We are active in Technology Development activities, being involved in 8 ESA TDE projects and also low TRL developments for future missions and application with a wide range of antenna technologies.
My name is Kenza Battaglia, I am a Young Graduate Trainee in the Thermal department of ESA. During this two-year contract I am responsible for different thermal analysis and design of several missions on-going in the agency. The field of activity is very broad and can go from a thermal lunar modelling of the soil surface, or the thermal environment of the Martian environment. These are more related to programming and software use. Other studies in the Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) allows for more specific decisions in thermal design and control for spacecraft. And finally, studies are conducted for thermal testing and analysis in the ESTEC lab for specific payload application. It can be understood that the mission, spacecraft, and payload can differ, as well as the thermal work that is performed.
